Message from Hunt

Keep James “Hunt” Johnson as your Alamance County Clerk of Superior Clerk.

Friends, I’m asking for your vote on November 2nd, 2010 so I may continue to serve as your Alamance County Clerk of Superior Court.

What does a Clerk of Court do?

The Clerk of Superior Court is a Constitutional Office and is the hub at the center of all judicial proceedings in each of the 100 counties in the State of North Carolina. The Clerk of Superior Court is vital to the local administration of justice and is a complex and diverse position. The Clerk of Superior Court is solely responsible for the retention, management and integrity of every case filed in the General Court of Justice in North Carolina.

How can I help with the campaign?

  • Get the word out!
    • Nothing speaks so loudly, clearly, and memorably for a candidate as a personal word of support from one person to another.
  • Volunteer:
    • Host a campaign event
    • Distribute campaign materials
    • Make phone calls
    • Work the polls during early voting
  • Help with voter registration drives in the summer and the fall.
  • Donate to our campaign committee.
    • Donations can be made to “Keep Johnson Clerk” and mailed to Keep Johnson Clerk, Post Office Box 1386, Graham, NC 27253.
    • All contributions must be from an individual and not a corporation or business entity. The contributor must include their name, address, and occupation with the contribution. All contributions in excess of $50 must be made by check, money order, or other non-cash method. It is preferred that all contributions be made by check. A candidate must not accept and a contributor may not give more than $4,000 per election. If you wish to give an “in-kind” contribution of goods or services, or you wish to host a campaign event.
